Community Head Injury Resource Services (CHIRS), an accredited leader in the
provision of long-term community based support services for adults with acquired
brain injury, is currently seeking a full time Behaviour Therapist
to join their team. Reporting to the Clinical Director/Neuropsychologist, the
Behaviour Therapist will be involved in:
Responsibilities (including but limited to):
- Provision of on-site support to supervisors and clinical supervision of
residential staff regarding behaviour programs and interventions
- Designing, implementing and monitoring behavioural interventions in
consultation with the Clinical Director and residential team
- Assessment, treatment, consultation and staff training
- Involvement in clinical agency directives and research as required
- Clinical on call duties
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Undergraduate degree in a related field (Behaviour Science,
Psychology and/or Health Sciences)- Master preferred
- 5 years + experience supervising behaviour programs and interventions
(including antecedent management, errorless learning and task analysis)
- Experience working with individuals with neurological impairment an asset
- Proven ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Computer literate
- Use of a vehicle and a valid driver's license ( minimum G2)
Flexible hours including evenings and weekend required
Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 per annum
