Employment Opportunity

One Full Time Social/Mental Health Worker

 

The Wawa Family Health Team is a collaborative, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals serving Wawa and area.  We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Social/Mental Health Worker to join our team.

The successful applicant will be working 37.5 flexible hours per week, have full benefit coverage and an employer sponsored group RRSP. This is an exciting opportunity to work as a member of an inter-disciplinary care team to develop and provide services in a community based setting.

This Provider will offer comprehensive social and mental health care services including health promotion, and education as per their scope of practice.   Our Family Health Team is continually assessing community needs while implementing new programs. Flexibility will be required to adapt as the programs evolve.

 

The successful applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a social science and be registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service

Workers. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Healthcare Consent Act, Substitute Decisions Act and community mental health

resources.

 

Other required qualifications include a strong sense of confidentiality, proficiency in computer applications, excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
