Have 1-3 years experience in the social intervention or in a similar field of work involving children, families and people with special needs.
Be knowledgeable in the law surrounding the care of children and families
Must be fully bilingual.
Job Description You will be required to:-
- Promote the needs and defend the rights of people under your responsibility
- Coordinate and develop plans of care for individuals
- Implement plans and follow up according to organizational and government standards
- Intervene in crisis situations
- Prepare files for the court and present with proof in relation to the children and families
- Recruit, evaluate and form relationships with foster and adoption families and ensure that resources available are adequate for the needs of persons within their care
- Implement adoption plans according to the establishment's requirements
- Approve expenditure and checks carried out by families as well as monies to organizations and assistive programs
- Accompany individuals in care to attend meetings and appointments as required
- Attend committee and board meetings to establish "best fits" for families and children
- Hold up to date notes and papers for necessary intervention
- Supplements any other documentation / forms required with intervention as required by the organization
